Clinical Practice of Acupuncture, 2nd ed., is a completely updated and thoroughly revised edition of the first book on the subject written by Indian authors and published in India. It covers all aspects of acupuncture science at length. Theories of acupuncture, anatomical descriptions of acupuncture points, ear acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, nose acupuncture, hand acupuncture and foot acupuncture have been discussed in detail. The books cover the treatment of about 100 diseases by acupuncture and also acupuncture anaesthesia. The noble feature of the book is the chapters on anatomy, physiology and stimulation which give basic information on acupuncture. It also includes chapters on human body and electricity, pulse stimulator used for acupuncture therapy, magnetotherapy and acupuncture, and the future of acupuncture in the Third World countries. These chapters have been specially contributed by the well-known authorities on the subject. This edition also contains a new chapter on stimulation which gives detailed information on the latest equipment used in acupuncture. The basic material for the book has been collected by the first author when on visit to China, Japan, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Sri Lanka. He had first¬hand experience of clinical practice followed in these countries and had access to the original manuscripts preserved in national museums and private possessions.
